I just set this up. I really like it. Easy to assemble just put the legs on. Everything works like it should. Came packaged well with no damage. Puts out nice heat. Remote control works great. I am certain to enjoy this makes bedroom cozy. I would recommend.Also wanted to clarify as I saw comments in other reviews. The heater is thermostat controlled when it reaches temperature heater shuts off but turns back on when room temperature drops.The door doesn't shut correctly or all the way and the legs were not made properly to line up the last one the little clip would not go into the slot and it broke off loose leg without it, the other 3 legs were fine. So the product was just not a quality made item. The door should close all the way, the legs should fitproperly . So far heating fine and flames look pretty. WANTED 2 LIKE THIS SO GLAD I TRIED 1 FIRST WON'T BE BUYING ANOTHER OF THIS MODEL OR MFG.Package arrive in perfect condition. Every thing works as it should. We like it. We will see how good the heat output is as it gets colder, but I think 1000 sq. ft. will be tough for this heater.This heater takes the chill off in my living room. Cost efficient. It uses about 3.5 klw for 4 hrs of non stop use. Which that's about max use I have let run. The fireplace part is nice. I like the fact you can put it on time heat control. Very happy about that. Con--heater is a lot nosier than I thought it would be 37 dB's.It’s adorable and the ‘flames’ are better than I expected, and it creates a nice ambience on cold days. I was hoping the heat function would be more efficient. However, it doesn’t run very long and does not heat a small space.I love the look of this fireplace heater. But the way it’s packaged for shipping is very flawed and does not protect the product and so mine came damaged. There is a scratch on the front and the door is loose and won’t stay flush with the front of it. I contacted Amazon and they were able to give me a discount for it being damaged. I didn’t want to go through the trouble of disassembling and packaging it back up.I regret this purchase. I knew I was purchasing a decorative space heater and not an actual stove, but at $200 I didn't expect it to be so cheap and flimsy. The door is a flimsy plastic, hangs crooked, and won't stay closed. There doesn't appear to be any latch, magnets, or any other device to keep it closed at all. The heater element itself is only so-so. At its highest setting, running for a couple hours now, it has had only a mild impact on the room temperature, and I'm sitting less than 10 feet from the unit. (Also, the "realistic flames" are not so much. I wish there was an option to turn the flame lights off while still having the reg glow on the logs stay on. I would have been more satisfied with just the red glow.) Overall, if I'd have paid under $80 for it, I'd probably feel OK about it, but it's definitely not worth the $190 price tag.UPDATE: I discovered there were two tiny magnets around two of the screws inside the door holding on the clear plastic cover. After adjusting them with a screwdriver, the door now closes and the magnets do keep it from swinging around now. (Before this, I tried taking off the covers on the door hinge and tightening what looked like flathead screws. Do NOT do this. They are not screws, but plastic tabs, and I broke one off trying this.) Now that the door closes, it makes a difference and doesn't feel quite as flimsy, but the main disappointment is still that the heating element doesn't seem to be very effective. If you're just looking for something decorative, and it's worth the price tag for you, go for it. If you actually need it to heat well, I'd look somewhere else.I am very happy with this. I love the remote control and that I can adjust the temperature setting, the time, and the flame effects from a distance. the flame comes in 3 settings from small to bigger, it's very colourful and lively. TheS stove is very nice looking and i like the rounded window and design. I like that it's open on the sides, so the flame can be seen from all angles. The warmth is what matters most to me, and it does warm up very quickly and it gets very toasty, I even get a little sleepy. :) Thank you!I bought this mainly for the flame ambiance and it has delivered, although the heating part also works great. It was easy to set up, and work. The choice of flame is wonderful. My old electric fireplace had only one setting, and you could hardly see the flames unless all your lights were turned off. The remote is easy to use, and I love the timing choices that you can set. The unit is also very attractive, and you have 3 windows, front and sides to see the flames. In short, I’m extremely happy with my unit.Love this stove ! I have it in my kitchen as that room is freezing cold in winter. I believe this will keep us cozy as that is the most used room in our house. Probably save on heating bills also. I am going to find a few riser as I wish it was a few inches taller.This is being used as a small heater. It looks great when burning and uses little electricity.Remote is convenient ... it is quiet and heats my basement very nicely :)
